A Song For Heather

This show is for our friend Heather who we lost so suddenly last year.

Kirsten Adamson, Boo Hewerdine, Elaine Lennon, Yvonne Lyon, King of Birds, Roseanne Reid, Adriana Spina, Sulidae (with Lyle Watt) have all offered theur services In aid of RNLI.

Heather Aird was a well known and much loved follower and supporter of the live music scene in Scotland. Her regular trips to Scotland for live music gigs from her home in Preston were well documented and enjoyed by us all on social media, and seeing her and meeting her in person - that generous warm smile - at so many of these events, was a joy to fellow music fans and artists alike.

Heather sadly and very suddenly passed away last year doing what she loved at the Skye Live Festival. The news of Heather’s passing shocked and saddened all of the music community here in Scotland.

To remember her and commemorate this anniversary, and with her family’s blessing, the musicians and artists below have come together to play ‘A Song for Heather’ at the Glad Cafe in Glasgow on the fourth on May 2025. Many other artists offered their support but were unable to perform due to other commitments, such was the warmth and love felt for Heather.

Tickets will go for this one, on sale here!

Darden Smith- “The Little Victories Tour”

Darden Smith has been playing for us since around 2008 and is always a welcome visitor.

Darden had this to say ahead of his “Little Victories Tour”.

“Basically, this is a show I’ve been working on, taking the songs and stories around the album. It’s not just a straight run-through of the songs, but more of a theater kind of approach that looks at my rise and crash around the time of the album.”

Catch him live in The Rum Shack Glasgow on Thursday 6th June.
