Standing show
The internationally acclaimed Dallahan return to their hometown of Glasgow for a specially self-curated night of folk music.
Having last performed in Glasgow to celebrate their 10 year anniversary, the World-Folk four piece return and invite two very special guest acts to join them on the bill for what they are calling their own micro-festival at St. Lukes.
Bringing along with them artists that are loved and admired by the band, Dallahan will close the night for what will be their biggest hometown gig to date.
Three award winning acts in one night will make this a very special night which anyone with the vaguest interest in folk music will not want to miss!
Kris Driver & Eamonn Coyne
One of Scotland’s most acclaimed folk duos, described as “mutually attuned musicianship of the first order”, resurfaces for their first gig together for many many years!
Cherished and admired in equal measure by listeners and fellow musicians, award-winning guitarist, singer, songwriter and prolific collaborator Kris Drever has been a leading light on the UK roots scene for well over a decade. Joined by Irish tenor banjo player Eamonn Coyne, they’ll be performing material from their back catalogue that hasn’t been heard live for most of a decade!
Hannah Rarity
Hannah Rarity has made a lasting impression since being warmly embraced by the folk world, winning BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year (2018) and recording and touring with top acts Blazin’ Fiddles, Rura, Niteworks and Cherish the Ladies. Performing a carefully chosen mix of traditional, contemporary and self-penned material, she earns comparisons to the likes of Eva Cassidy and Cara Dillon, whilst standing confidently in her own right. Equally at home in a number of genres, she is a sought-after collaborator, session vocalist and tutor.
